Does Dr. Gertler have a specialty?

Dr. Gertler is a licensed Chiropractor in the State of California with more than 1,000 hours of additional training in Applied Kinesiology (AK) and other healing modalities.

He utilizes Applied Kinesiology (AK) as well as other diagnostic methods that have evolved from AK.

What is Total Body Modification (T.B.M.)?

This therapy relies on Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) to diagnose and treat imbalances in the body. In this healing system, the body's own wisdom or bio-computer aids in the rectifying of disease and ailment. Total Body Modification is especially useful for clearing internal blockages, for aiding neurological function, and for stimulating the immune system.

Dr. Victor Frank and Dr. C. Harold Havlic, both distinguished chiropractors, originated Total Body Modification and, subsequently, taught this healing therapy to Dr. Gertler.
What is Environmental Stress Management (E.S.M.)?

This system is a simplified version of Total Body Modification. E.S.M. is a home health care system that allows you to take charge of your own health. It stresses functional physiology - a science which views the body as a unified whole rather than a mass of separate parts which function independently of each other.

Does the Center for Holistic Health offer Foot Baths for detoxification?

Yes. The CFHH offers Ion Cleanse Foot Baths. These are a general detoxification therapy which greatly reduces bodily toxicity. Foot Baths are a method for the elimination of various harmful poison such as toxic metals, infections and environmental pollutions. Do you treat chronic back and/or neck pain?

Yes. We treat the causes as well as the symptoms. Most cases of chronic back and/or neck pain are related to the fight-or-flight reflex, which causes a vertical compression of the spine that, typically, affects the neck and low back.

The key to correcting the pain is to discover the contributing factors, and normalize all of them. We specialize in this.
Do you treat chronic fatigue?

Yes. We specialize in treating both chronic fatigue and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. They are not difficult to treat, but are biochemically intricate and usually take several months of treatment for resolution. They are characterized by multiple factors including: digestive problems, nutritional deficiencies, blood sugar regulation imbalances, multiple infections (viruses, candida, parasites, immune dysfunction, thyroid/adrenal imbalances, toxicity (from environment, food, dental amalgams, drugs), underlying allergies and emotional factors.
Do you treat fibromyalgia?

Yes. Fibromyalgia is similar to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome with one component very exaggerated - intracellular toxicity. Once the person's energy production has been sufficiently restored, other treatments are necessary.
Do you treat digestive disorders like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (I.B.S.)?

Yes. I.B.S. is a 'functional' bowel disorder. It represents half of all gastro-intestinal cases.
What allergies do you treat?

Any kind. The most common are foods, vitamin and mineral supplements, prescription medicines, chemicals, environmentals (pollen, weeds, dust, mold, etc.), fungus, bacteria, viruses, and hormones.
